2021 Welcome

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

On behalf of the Eastern Vascular Society, we are excited to host its 35th Annual Meeting as an in person at the BELMOND Charleston Place in Charleston, SC. For those of you who would like to attend but cannot travel to Charleston, we will be broadcasting the meeting virtually and archiving the meeting on our website.

In our 2020 virtual-only meeting, we had over 475 registrants for the meeting. We are looking forward to hosting even more participants from the eastern region of the United States and Canada in our hybrid virtual and in-person meeting. As the year progresses, please be sure to visit our website at  events.easternvascular.org for regular updates.

The EVS meeting will offer information regarding the care of vascular conditions and will allow vascular surgeons and other Allied health professionals to remain current on the latest knowledge, approaches, and procedures that will lead to better patient care. Due to an ever-increasing prevalence of vascular disease in our society, there has never been a more challenging time to be a vascular surgeon or a time when it has been more critical to keep abreast of developments in the field. The introduction of Maintenance of Certification and increasing multi-specialty competition in our current healthcare system poses new challenges and makes further education on cutting-edge approaches to the treatment of vascular disease essential.

During the 7 weeks of the 2020 virtual meeting, we had over 1129 participant visits, with 177 unique participants during our educational sessions on the 3 Saturdays, also 44 Abstract Presentations, 19 Expert Lectures, Virtual Poster Hall, and an opportunity for members and trainees to review presentations on-demand.

This 4-day meeting will be at the Belmond Charleston Place in beautiful Charleston, SC. We have reserved the entire massive ballroom area, as well as multiple side rooms, and an outdoor courtyard to allow for social distancing if required. We will have a spacious trade show vendor area as well as a dynamic interactive virtual trade show allowing industry to showcase their products.

We are looking forward to seeing you in person in Charleston or virtually from the leisure of your home for those who would like to attend but cannot travel to Charleston.
