President Anil Hingorani, MD has elected to sponsor the organization Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation through the 2nd Annual President's Fun Run. Their Board Members joined us for the President's Reception at the Carnegie Science Center on Friday September 6th for dinner, museum exhibits, and plenty of dancing.
The 33rd Annual Meeting featured all-new programming including the Radiation Safety Program which offered MOC credits towards Certification in 'Radiation Safety Officer' as well as the Community Physicians Program, focusing on Community Practice and Outreach. The meeting also offered several Industry Breakout Symposia focusing on the latest innovations in Surgical Vascular technology as well as two Simulation Sessions, now in the program's third year. The EVS offered training and mentorship to medical students, residents, and fellows interested in Vascular Surgery is a highlight of our Mission, and utilized the all new Passport System for its trainees. We welcomed interested Trainees to apply for a number of available scholarships to help them attend the Meeting. The EVS will once again celebrated Women and Diversity in the field of Vascular Surgery with a robust Diversity Panel featuring experts in the field.
Our 2019 Honorary Guest Lecturer was Dr. Frank Veith who spoke on Friday September 6th before our Annual Member Business Meeting. (Featured video on our home page).
The Society could not offer this rich and diverse educational and scientific programming without the generous support of Industry Leaders and Innovators. We thank them for participating in the meeting.
