The Women’s Vascular Summit is the first annual meeting designed to present and discuss what we know and do not know about how vascular disease presents differently in women, and how intervention is impacted by gender.
Topics include the broad spectrum of vascular disorders including: peripheral arterial disease, cerebrovascular disease, aortic aneurysms, aortic dissections, access, and venous disease, pregnancy issues, and Life Balance as a practitioner. Interactive group discussions will allow participants to ask questions and to work together to develop future research projects.
The meeting will also focus on developing women vascular surgeons, including wellness issues, radiation exposure, practice development and leadership development. The summit will facilitate networking amongst women vascular surgeons, and mentoring of younger women vascular surgeons.
The meeting is being held in Buffalo New York, at the newly constructed Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, just a few miles from Niagara Falls. The schedule permits social time Friday evening and Saturday afternoon.
